Mondays=Strong Coffee

Good Monday! This morning all I have been doing is trying to find ways to not read my marketing material for class today. We have a guest speaker, so I should probably get on it.

Last week I forgot to mention the talk I went to. It was amazing. Dan Shawbel came and spoke about personal branding. He has some great insight and info about how to blog and get your name out there. He highly emphasized the fact that personal branding is an excellent way to “COMMAND YOUR CAREER AND FUTURE!!!”

I really need to get better about my postings. School has been super hectic, but I promise I’ll get better.

This weekend Joey and I made some of Jenn’s “betta banana bread.” It turned out amazing!!!! I had about 5 bananas that were about to go bad so I decided to throw them all in the batter and hope it turned out. I also substituted the apple sauce with Fage yogurt and it turned out great.

Here is Jenn’s ingredient list and then mine ingredients with a few tweaks…

  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 cup liquid egg whites
  • 3 tbsp. Promise Light Buttery Spread
  • 1/4 cup applesauce

Mine with the recipe doubled:

  • 2 c whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup liquid egg whites
  • 6 tbsp. Promise Light Buttery Spread
  • 1/2 cup greek yogurt
  • 5 medium mashed bananas (200g)
  • nana breadp3300002

This morning to start my Monday off right I had a nice big breakfast while sitting at my computer. I hate doing this because it distracts me from my food, but I had to get a start on a press release I have due at noon.p3300003

I also had some of my new espresso coffee I bought yesterday at whole foods

p33000022This was the first time trying this brand and it was quite good. It wasn’t as strong as Illy, but I like the fact it didn’t have any bitter undertones that alot of espresso grinds have. Overall I think I’ll buy it again. It’s a little cheaper that Illy, which is also a plus!

I’m off to Principles of PR, then Writing for Marketing, then my last class, Changing Bodies Changing Technology. I will post the rest of my day, and dinner tonight with Joey. I think we are having leftover meatballs from last night. I’ll post the recipe soon…they were outrageous and moist!!!!
