Recap-New Site Still Underway

Hello lovely bloggies!!! Sorry for being MIA the past few days. I’ve been working on getting my own hosted site up and running and it’s taking a bit longer than expected. In the meantime I am going to continue to use this one and I hope you all keep reading and follow me to my new site once it’s in working order. It is going to be wonderful and I hope you all like it!!!!!

Here is a bit of a recap of just a few of the things I’ve been snacking on the past couple days. I didn’t take picture of everything, but I have been eating more yogurt again since my stomach hasn’t been acting up. Basically this is a snack recap!

SATURDAY

We all went paintballing in the morning and had a blast!!!! I don’t have any food photos because I was out in the Jungle flexing my stealth skills and dominating the battleground!

SATURDAY EVENING

Joey and I were invited to a very special grad party at the Harvard Club for my cousin Lucy. It was so nice to see that part of the family again and for Joey to meet some powerful people. It’s all about networking people!

SUNDAY MORNING

This morning I woke up to a comforting bowl of oat bran. Today it was extra creamy and good.

Today I am off to go to Total Body Conditioning at the BSC. I don’t really have any other plans besides possibly checking out the Dragon Boat races on the Charles River. I think I am going to plan on doing that, but I have some advertising work to squeeze in somewhere today. Tomorrow, back to the grind of beginning a new week.

I hope you all had a fabulous and enjoyable weekend. From reading all your blogs on Google Reader sounds like there were some fun activities going on…ex: bowling, surfing, marathons, etc.

Walked my Sox Off Today

HOLY MOLY!!!! I have walked so much today that at one point my legs switched to autopilot and I forgot I was even walking. I was so numb and now I am exhausted. It all started after my workout and right after lunch, Caroline and I decided we needed to spend some money so we walked our SOX (since we’re in Boston) OFF, literally.

We walked all the way down Newbury and after picking out a really cute eye shadow in MAC I realized I forgot my wallet at home. UGH! So we had to walk alllll the way back, then to the Prudential Center, then to JCrew to get these really soft boyfriend t-shirts (ON SALE go buy!), then walk all the way to Whole Foods so I could get my grocery shopping fix for the day.

So to sum it up I’ve basically been excersizing non-stop all day. Feel pretty good about lounging now!

Now I am lounging and regaining my strength to cook up a super easy repeat of last night’s Mexican Quesadilla feast. I figured we should use up all the stuff we had leftover last night…trying to make sure I eat everything before they go bad, I hate throwing things away.

Also, Joey and I are finally going to a late showing of Up! I can’t wait to see it and laugh, cry, giggle, and do whatever you do when you watch the magic of Pixar.

I am Officially A Green Monster Drinker

Happy hump day everyone!!! This is going to be a super quick post because I have to race off to class, but I wanted to let you all know I am officially a green monster drinker as of today!!!!!!

I finally made the leap, bought the stuff to make it, and whipped one up this morning.

Breakfast=Green Monster

  • 1 small frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
  • 2 handfuls spinach
  • 2tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 scoop vanilla PP
  • 1tsp flaxseed
  • 1 cup vanilla hempmilk

IT WAS AMAZINGGG!!!!! AAAHHHHHH!! And it kept me full for 3 hours!!!

Got me Some Green Monster Goodness

So today I have been fairly productive. I got my laundry done, went and worked out, ate a good lunch, and even went and got a facial!!!! Hey it’s personal day, a little extravagance here and there won’t hurt. I also went and bought the ingredients to make me a GREEN MONSTER SMOOTHIE for breakie tomorrow!!!!!

I recently read a post by the lovely Angela at Oh She Glows and she mentioned the benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar. I have never tried it before so I am hoping it will be a good addition to a smoothie!

Lunch

After the gym I rushed home and whipped up this lunch before heading back out the door to get a facial and pick up Green Monster goodness.

Really good combo. I thought it was going to be a little weird, but i really wanted to use up some of the cabbage in my fridge. It was super tasty, so I will be making that again!

While eating my snack I got soooo freakin frusterated with Gmail. Supposedly I am over quota, but I emptied my trash, deleted a ton of important emails, and now have nothing in my email box, but still get bounced emails when receiving them!!!! AAAHHHHH!!!!!

To blow off some steam I am off to watch Joey’s club softball game. Hopefully that will help. I don’t know what I am going to do about this email situation, and there is no contact number to call Google!! GRRR….

Anywho I am taking a new flavor kombucha on the walk with me….I will be back with dinner and game results.

June 1st Beauty of a Day

Today was beautiful! Finally June 1st marks some real summer weather. I’ve been patiently waiting around here in Boston for the weather to match the season. Today was terrible when it comes to taking pictures of everything I ate. I ventured to the post office this morning to send off my secret blogger package, did a few more things around the house, then all of a sudden I ran out of time and had to rush to class.

Before I headed out I made sure to pack a sandwich: turkey, cabbage, tomatoes, pepperjack, dijon –> no picture because I was rushed. I did manage to take a quick pic of my snack before heading out the door.

Mid-morning Snack

I know I said my stomach has been acting up when I eat yogurt, cottage cheese, or too much dairy, but I really missed my yogurt snacks so I had to try one last time…guess what? NO STOMACH ACHE TODAY!!! I am so happy about this. I really hope it stays this way, but just to be safe I’ll limit my yogurt snackage to every other day.

1-4:45: Advertising class

Ate my sandwich and made a quick pit stop in Starbucks to pick up an Iced Unsweetened Green Tea. Love this stuff!

During class I recieved a confirmation email regarding my interview with Holley Johnson, Food Editor for Myrecipes.com. The interview is set for Wednesday and I can’t wait to post it for you all to read.

When I finally got home after a not so eventful class discussion I was tired as hell. I snacked on this lovely foodage while I waited for Joey to get done working on a school project. FYI he is in Construction Management.

Joey and I went on a lovely stroll through the neighborhood and peeped into the townhouses we wish we could live in (wayyyyy toooo freckin pricy, but someday) I love looking in other peoples living rooms to see how they are designed…is that creepy?

On our loop back home we stopped at the best ever JP licks for some very much needed FROYO!!

I got a kiddie cone of vanilla and coffee froyo. Scrumptious.

Most often I usually get a yummy flavor mixed with this…yogx3…just like Pinkberry tart flavor!

Tonight I got some reading to do and some more lounging. Tomorrow morning, well more like noon, I’m off to Club Strength, but not before a delightful bowl of oat bran!

Tonight TV: DINERS DRIVE INS AND DIVES. Come on..everyone loves this show! I saw my aunt on the show a couple weeks a go!!!

In honor of Phish playing in Fenway last night…

Very Relaxing, Delish Sunday

This afternoon has been super relaxing. My friend Sydney came over and we relaxed on my rooftop deck for a bit. I could hear Phish warm up for their concert in Fenway tonight. The weather today has been crazy..super hot and sunny, then all of a sudden thunder and I just saw some lightning. I love this kind of weather on Sunday nights when all I’m doing is watching the MTV MOVIE AWARDS!!!

Actually right now I am about to watch The Hills finale and then after the awards start. Good line up of TV watching this evening. Should keep me preoccupied while Joey enjoys the concert over at Fenway. I wish I could have gone, but there wasn’t another ticket.

Today after Total Body Conditioning I had a pure protein shake, took a shower, wrote some emails, then made lunch with Joey. I didn’t take pictures, but I had some cottage cheese with flaxseed and 1 egg + eggwhites wrapped in a WW tortilla. Joey made a turkey and avocado sammie with some really yummy flaxseed tortilla chips on the side.

This dinner was super satisfying! I got some major veggies in since I’ve been lacking in that department. It was a big salad, almost too big, but I always finish my din dins.

I am going to watch the Hills finale….well I am right now…but later I will be relaxing more more more while watching the MTV movie awards. You all should watch!!!! I haven’t seen it in a couple years so should be good!

May have some dessert later….which will prob happen, along with some tea!

Pazzo Dinner Recap & Warm Saturday

Yesterday evening Joey and I went out to a fabulous Italian dinner at the new Pazzo Restaurant on Newbury St. It was just warm enough for us to eat outside so we def took advantage of that. Before heading to dinner we had a couple summer gin cocktails to kick off the night.

Before our main course we split the margarita pizza with their homemade mozzarella…forgot to take pic.

I ordered the Pesto Grilled salmon on a bed of arugula, cannelini beans, feta, and radishes

Joey ordered the wild boar bolognese. He really enjoyed this manly dish.

After dinner we met up with Joey’s long time friend Luke Daly and headed back to my house to see if we could hear Dave Matthew’s band from my roof deck. No luck :(. So we decided to head over to Daisy Buchanan’s on Newbury for a couple bevvies.

We ended up having a great time and meeting some new people. Town was hopping by 11:30 since the concert got out. Around 12:30 Joey and I called it a night and headed home to an ice cream bar!!! I still haven’t purchased my ice cream cones, but tomorrow I will most def do that!!!!!

SATURDAY THUS FAR

Joey and I somehow managed to get our groggy hungover bodies out of bed and head to Club Strength this morning at 9:30AM. I am soooo happy I went, it really helped sweat out some of the toxins haha.

Joey and I made a quick stop at TJ’s to get some buttermilk and oats so we can make overnight oatmeal pancake mix for Sunday Morning breakfast.

Aggravation of the day (try not to have many of these): The post office supposedly closes at noon on Saturdays and I had no idea about this. I tried to send off my SECRET BLOGGIE PACKAGE today, but oops I was 45 min. late. I guess I’ll have to send it off first this Monday morning. Grrrrrr….

Saturday Agenda:
