It is going to be wonderful and I hope you all like it!!!!!

Today I am off to go to Total Body Conditioning at the BSC. I don’t really have any other plans besides possibly checking out the Dragon Boat races on the Charles River. I think I am going to plan on doing that, but I have some advertising work to squeeze in somewhere today. Tomorrow, back to the grind of beginning a new week.

I hope you all had a fabulous and enjoyable weekend. From reading all your blogs on Google Reader sounds like there were some fun activities going on…ex: bowling, surfing, marathons, etc.

Please stay posted about my switch over to my new site. I hope you all like it!!!!!!!

To-Do List Tuesday + Starting Green Monster

Good Morning!!! Today is my personal day since I don’t have class…so to keep myself busy I have planned a major to-do list that I really hope I stick to! After I write this post I plan on starting 2 loads of laundry, then heading to the gym for a quick eliptical sesh, then Club Strength. Here is my to-do list of the day…

To-Do List Tuesday:

  • Eat
  • post breakfast
  • laundry
  • workout
  • lunch + post lunch
  • Whole Foods — finally going to get GREEN MONSTER INGREDIENTS!!
  • Get my nails done
  • Book a massage — very much needed
  • Dinner with Joey
  • Maybe catch Up! since we didn’t last night
  • homework

I really hope I stick to this list and focus my energy on the tasks at hand. I tend to get sidetracked with reading blogs and basically waisting time on nothing hahah.

So I am really excited to finally try a GREEN MONSTER SMOOTHIE. The blogworld is buzzing so much about these drinks and I feel really out of the loop. I already had a huge TBS of almond butter today, so I think I’ll save my smoothie for tomorrow.

How many TBS of nut butters do you allow yourself per day????

Breakfast

1/3 C oatbran, 1C water, cinnamon, pack of jay robb's vanilla PP, flaxseed, bloobs, 1 big TBS raw chunky AB

Now off to start the next thing on my list….laundry. Ugh I hate having to go all the way down to the basement, paying a shit load for a load of laundry, then waiting around, but hey it’s keepin the girl busy!!!!!!!

What should I cook for dinner tonight? What are you having?

Hope I haven’t already posted this song…

June 1st Beauty of a Day

Today was beautiful! Finally June 1st marks some real summer weather. I’ve been patiently waiting around here in Boston for the weather to match the season. Today was terrible when it comes to taking pictures of everything I ate. I ventured to the post office this morning to send off my secret blogger package, did a few more things around the house, then all of a sudden I ran out of time and had to rush to class.

Before I headed out I made sure to pack a sandwich: turkey, cabbage, tomatoes, pepperjack, dijon –> no picture because I was rushed. I did manage to take a quick pic of my snack before heading out the door.

Mid-morning Snack

skyr plain yogurt, 1/4 C Go Lean, 1/4 C Cinnacrack, 3 Island Vanilla Shredded Wheat

I know I said my stomach has been acting up when I eat yogurt, cottage cheese, or too much dairy, but I really missed my yogurt snacks so I had to try one last time…guess what? NO STOMACH ACHE TODAY!!! I am so happy about this. I really hope it stays this way, but just to be safe I’ll limit my yogurt snackage to every other day.

this yogurt mess was truely missed and I’m so glad it didn’t bite my stomach off today.DSC_0002

Ate my sandwich and made a quick pit stop in Starbucks to pick up an Iced Unsweetened Green Tea. Love this stuff!

During class I recieved a confirmation email regarding my interview with Holley Johnson, Food Editor for Myrecipes.com. The interview is set for Wednesday and I can’t wait to post it for you all to read.

When I finally got home after a not so eventful class discussion I was tired as hell. I snacked on this lovely foodage while I waited for Joey to get done working on a school project. FYI he is in Construction Management.

Dinner

Fin’s Sushi & Grill

Great sushi, fresh fish, decent prices, yummy combos = def visit this restaurant on the reg

After Dinner

Joey and I went on a lovely stroll through the neighborhood and peeped into the townhouses we wish we could live in (wayyyyy toooo freckin pricy, but someday) I love looking in other peoples living rooms to see how they are designed…is that creepy?

On our loop back home we stopped at the best ever JP licks for some very much needed FROYO!!

I got a kiddie cone of vanilla and coffee froyo. Scrumptious.

Most often I usually get a yummy flavor mixed with this…yogx3…just like Pinkberry tart flavor!

Tonight I got some reading to do and some more lounging. Tomorrow morning, well more like noon, I’m off to Club Strength, but not before a delightful bowl of oat bran!

Tonight TV: DINERS DRIVE INS AND DIVES. Come on..everyone loves this show! I saw my aunt on the show a couple weeks a go!!!

Goodnight I hope you all had the perfect summery June day and hopefully the weather was up to your summer standards!

Successful Breakie, New Eco-Book, & Baking!

This mornings oat bran attempt was 20x better than yesterday’s, and actually could have been one of the best bowls I’ve made! I found a couple new products while in Boise and I was sooooo siked to try them in my morning bowl of oat bran goodness. The products? –> PB2 AND CHIA SEEDS!

My Dad woke up an hour before me and made a nice big bowl of stovetop Irish oats. I really wanted my oat bran, so I mixed about 1/4 cup irish oats with my oat bran. Stir ins were protein powder, cinnamon, sea salt, CHIA SEEDS, and stevia. Toppings included PB2 (In love with this stuff! I have the chocolate flavor too), 1 huge strawberry, blubes, more cinn, an a couple puffins.DSC_0002

love these bowls. we have a whole collection. my parents have such good taste.

DSC_0005These 2 new purchases are amazing!!!!!!! I am absolutely in love with PB2. It doesn’t taste exactly like legit peanut butter, but it’s close enough and makes me feel better about scooping loads of it on my oats, since it’s 85% less fat! I completely recommend it if you haven’t tried it!

The Chia seeds are an awesome addition to my oats. Question to frequent CHIA SEED eaters… How long do you have to let them sit before they expand? They stay pretty seedy when I add them. I really wanna try Chia pudding…recommendations?

Rainy Thursday, but fun planned!

Good morning! Today, it’s supposed to thunder and lightning here in Boston. I really hope it does because I am sick of these half ass rainy days where it’s always on the verge of downpour, but then never does.

Today I have a some fun things planned, well at least one–>HAIR DAYYYY! I am going to Salon Mizu to get my hair highlighted and trimmed! It’s super expensive, but Charles is the only one that can do my hair right.

Before I get into my day plans and brekkie I want to recap yesterday’s lunch with JOJO

We headed over to Darwin Ltd. to get some sammies and check it out. I had heard about the place from Tina’s blog over at Carrots n’ Cake.

Turkey on Whole Wheat with tomato, avocado, lettuce, and dijon

This drink was OK, but I think I prefer Snapple better

Darwin Ltd. was a good lunch place to pick up a sammie and coffee if your in a rush and have to get back to work. If you plan on sticking around and enjoying lunch I prefer going to Crema Cafe instead. The sammies at Darwin are good and they use good hearty bread, but I wish they could toast the bread or grill them. They make breakfast sammies that sound really good, but they don’t serve them all day (That’s what I was wanting).

Anywho….Joey and I walked around Harvard square after lunch and browsed around the shops. I found this one jewelry place and FINALLY found an industrial bar!!! I have been wearing the same old silver bar for so long and I was so happy to find a new bejeweled one!!!!!p5070002sooooooo happpyyyy!!!! I also got a silver one with black and white jewels.

last night dinner:

leftover cinco de mayo meal. Still good as the night before and the guacamole was even better because the avocados softened up a little. When we made it the reason why it was so chunky was because the avocados were rock hard. p5060001

TODAY THURSDAY:

Alright, so back to today. This morning I shot out of bed starving for some brekkie.

I made a nice hot bowl of oat bran since it’s so rainy and cold out. Come on summer I know your there!

usual oatbran with crunchy AB and roasted AB in new PARIS bowl!!

p5070003I found this bowl and urban outfitters yesterday for $6!!!! I love Paris so much and miss it! Can’t wait to maybe go to culinary school there. (ABs peaking over edge).

Today’s Agenda:

  • finally getting Joey to come along with me to Club Strength at noon!
  • Getting my hair done at Mizu at 2pm so I am going to have to rush home/shower/make lunch and bolt
  • Tonight I think Joey and I are planning on going to Stephi’s on Tremont, a new restaurant opened by the same owner as Stephanie’s on Newbury. I hope it’s good, I will write a review about it.
  • Get organized for trip to UC Davis and then HOME!!! Finally

Note: the picture I have as my blog header is actually a picture taken from my penthouse deck back home. That is the mountain I grew up skiing on. Props to Dad for taking an unbelievable shot!

90 Degrees Baby

IT IS SOOOO HOTTT!!!! I have the air conditioning blasting (not so green) and don’t know what to do with myself about this weather!!! I love it, but it just snuck up so fast!

I tried to not let it interupt my normal Tuesday activities so I did end up making it to Club Strength even though it was a scortching walk.

BUT FIRST…last night Joey had a great idea to grab some Greek food and head over to the river and watch the sunset. It was perfect.

Almond Butter Predicament-HELP!

So I am in need of some more almond butter, but I can’t seem to find any of the two brands I want to try in any stores…Naturally Nutty, and Barney Butter!

I NEED ALMOND BUTTER HELP!!!!!

I would love to hear some suggestions as to which brand makes better almond butter, or what flavors Naturally Nutty almond butters you prefer. I will be sure to return the favor with a great big shout out and something else ( have to think of it).
