Recap-New Site Still Underway

Hello lovely bloggies!!! Sorry for being MIA the past few days. I’ve been working on getting my own hosted site up and running and it’s taking a bit longer than expected. In the meantime I am going to continue to use this one and I hope you all keep reading and follow me to my new site once it’s in working order. It is going to be wonderful and I hope you all like it!!!!!

Here is a bit of a recap of just a few of the things I’ve been snacking on the past couple days. I didn’t take picture of everything, but I have been eating more yogurt again since my stomach hasn’t been acting up. Basically this is a snack recap!

SATURDAY

We all went paintballing in the morning and had a blast!!!! I don’t have any food photos because I was out in the Jungle flexing my stealth skills and dominating the battleground!

SATURDAY EVENING

Joey and I were invited to a very special grad party at the Harvard Club for my cousin Lucy. It was so nice to see that part of the family again and for Joey to meet some powerful people. It’s all about networking people!

SUNDAY MORNING

This morning I woke up to a comforting bowl of oat bran. Today it was extra creamy and good.

Today I am off to go to Total Body Conditioning at the BSC. I don’t really have any other plans besides possibly checking out the Dragon Boat races on the Charles River. I think I am going to plan on doing that, but I have some advertising work to squeeze in somewhere today. Tomorrow, back to the grind of beginning a new week.

I hope you all had a fabulous and enjoyable weekend. From reading all your blogs on Google Reader sounds like there were some fun activities going on…ex: bowling, surfing, marathons, etc.

Walked my Sox Off Today

HOLY MOLY!!!! I have walked so much today that at one point my legs switched to autopilot and I forgot I was even walking. I was so numb and now I am exhausted. It all started after my workout and right after lunch, Caroline and I decided we needed to spend some money so we walked our SOX (since we’re in Boston) OFF, literally.

We walked all the way down Newbury and after picking out a really cute eye shadow in MAC I realized I forgot my wallet at home. UGH! So we had to walk alllll the way back, then to the Prudential Center, then to JCrew to get these really soft boyfriend t-shirts (ON SALE go buy!), then walk all the way to Whole Foods so I could get my grocery shopping fix for the day.

So to sum it up I’ve basically been excersizing non-stop all day. Feel pretty good about lounging now!

Now I am lounging and regaining my strength to cook up a super easy repeat of last night’s Mexican Quesadilla feast. I figured we should use up all the stuff we had leftover last night…trying to make sure I eat everything before they go bad, I hate throwing things away.

Also, Joey and I are finally going to a late showing of Up! I can’t wait to see it and laugh, cry, giggle, and do whatever you do when you watch the magic of Pixar.

So today I have been fairly productive. I got my laundry done, went and worked out, ate a good lunch, and even went and got a facial!!!! Hey it’s personal day, a little extravagance here and there won’t hurt. I also went and bought the ingredients to make me a GREEN MONSTER SMOOTHIE for breakie tomorrow!!!!!

I recently read a post by the lovely Angela at Oh She Glows and she mentioned the benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar. I have never tried it before so I am hoping it will be a good addition to a smoothie!

Lunch

After the gym I rushed home and whipped up this lunch before heading back out the door to get a facial and pick up Green Monster goodness.

Really good combo. I thought it was going to be a little weird, but i really wanted to use up some of the cabbage in my fridge. It was super tasty, so I will be making that again!

While eating my snack I got soooo freakin frusterated with Gmail. Supposedly I am over quota, but I emptied my trash, deleted a ton of important emails, and now have nothing in my email box, but still get bounced emails when receiving them!!!! AAAHHHHH!!!!!

To blow off some steam I am off to watch Joey’s club softball game. Hopefully that will help. I don’t know what I am going to do about this email situation, and there is no contact number to call Google!! GRRR….

Anywho I am taking a new flavor kombucha on the walk with me….I will be back with dinner and game results.

June 1st Beauty of a Day

Today was beautiful! Finally June 1st marks some real summer weather. I’ve been patiently waiting around here in Boston for the weather to match the season. Today was terrible when it comes to taking pictures of everything I ate. I ventured to the post office this morning to send off my secret blogger package, did a few more things around the house, then all of a sudden I ran out of time and had to rush to class.

Before I headed out I made sure to pack a sandwich: turkey, cabbage, tomatoes, pepperjack, dijon –> no picture because I was rushed. I did manage to take a quick pic of my snack before heading out the door.

I know I said my stomach has been acting up when I eat yogurt, cottage cheese, or too much dairy, but I really missed my yogurt snacks so I had to try one last time…guess what? NO STOMACH ACHE TODAY!!! I am so happy about this. I really hope it stays this way, but just to be safe I’ll limit my yogurt snackage to every other day.

1-4:45: Advertising class

Ate my sandwich and made a quick pit stop in Starbucks to pick up an Iced Unsweetened Green Tea. Love this stuff!

During class I recieved a confirmation email regarding my interview with Holley Johnson, Food Editor for Myrecipes.com. The interview is set for Wednesday and I can’t wait to post it for you all to read.

When I finally got home after a not so eventful class discussion I was tired as hell. I snacked on this lovely foodage while I waited for Joey to get done working on a school project. FYI he is in Construction Management.

Joey and I went on a lovely stroll through the neighborhood and peeped into the townhouses we wish we could live in (wayyyyy toooo freckin pricy, but someday) I love looking in other peoples living rooms to see how they are designed…is that creepy?

On our loop back home we stopped at the best ever JP licks for some very much needed FROYO!!

I got a kiddie cone of vanilla and coffee froyo. Scrumptious.

Most often I usually get a yummy flavor mixed with this…yogx3…just like Pinkberry tart flavor!

Tonight I got some reading to do and some more lounging. Tomorrow morning, well more like noon, I’m off to Club Strength, but not before a delightful bowl of oat bran!

Tonight TV: DINERS DRIVE INS AND DIVES. Come on..everyone loves this show! I saw my aunt on the show a couple weeks a go!!!

Special Sunday Breakie!

Good Sunday everyone!!!! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. Mine was pretty low key, but there were some spurts of fun activities. Today is going to stay pretty mellow, but in 45 min I’m headed to Total Body Conditioning at BSC Newbury. It will feel good to get some endorphins pumpin before my leisurely day of doing nothing. I have nothing planned today, except make dinner, do some house cleaning, and watch the MTV movie awards woop woop!!!! I hope their good!!!!

Sunday Breakie

Last night Joey and I whipped up the oatmeal buttermilk pancake batter and let it sit in the fridge overnight to marinate. The recipe I used is this one. I subbed in WW flour.

I woke up super early this morning very very hungry. I made myself a pot of coffee and had this juicy grapefruit while I waited for Joey to wake up.

When Joey woke up around 8AM we made pancakes. I chopped up some strawberries and mixed some yogurt with cinnamon and truvia to top my pancakes with.

I never eat pancakes so these were a perfect way to start my Sunday.

Joey is headed to a Phish concert tonight so I have the day to myself. Not sure what I am going to do since I got my Advertising homework out of the way.

Fresh Pesto Movie Night

Today ended up being just the nice relaxing day I had planned. After hitting up the gym for Club Strength I came home to see Joey still home, he was headed off to play some hockey. Right away I made some lunch because all that weight pumpin made me starving.

After I headed to Whole Foods to pick up some SECRET BLOGGER GOODIES!!! I of course ended up spending more than I wanted, as always, but I picked up some nice fresh pesto to use for tonights dinner….I am making Joey Pesto Pasta with Chicken.

On the walk home I ate a fuji apple.

When I put away all the unnecessary groceries and started my secret blogger package, I went to whipping up a batch of Angela’s Raw Granola Bars at Oh She Glows.

For some reason I have been getting bad stomach aches about 30 min after eating a big portion of yogurt or cottage cheese. I think I need to cut back on the dairy a little bit to see if it helps…I bought some hemp milk to try out for the first time!

Do you get any side effects from dairy when you eat it too much?

Have you ever tried Hemp milk and do you like it?

This dinner was so nice, healthy, and summery. I keep forgetting how good fresh pesto is!!!!!

Tonight Joey and I are going to watch a movie from On Demand. Maybe some dessert will be involved….as always…

Oh right! Dessert is a def. because the lovely Brooke over at Home Girl Can Eat has been having the most delish looking ice cream cones. I forgot to get me some cones, but I got some yummalicious ice cream in the freezer. Cones are the grocery list!!!

Well I have finally made it home to the lovely Sun Valley, Idaho for a nice 2 week vacation before I start summer classes back in Boston. I plan on blogging about all my lovely eats and action here in the valley, but firstly I think it is high time I recap my last day in Boston, my little trip to SF, and my first night at home sweet home. There has been some major traveling going on the past few days so it’s going to be so nice to just kick back, visit with hometown friends, and relaxxxxxxx!!!

4AM Oatmeal Pancakes! (The Best Homemade)

P5090019P5090018P5090021P5090022The best homemade in the World pancakes were topped with Oikos Vanilla Greek yogurt and Blueberries. First time trying the vanilla greek yogurt and it was perfectly flavored and not too sweet. A great addition to the pancake. I ate the rest out of the carton and it was soo yummy just on it’s own. Usually I have to add stuff to my plain greek yogurt. Good Job Stonyfield Farm! Your Greek Yogurts are my FAV!!!!

Plan on seeing a lot of good homemade cooking thanks to my Papi. It’s going to be a relaxing time, I can’t wait.

I will post my mornings eats later tonight after dinner….FYI: my first bowl of oatbran here was absolutely terrible. I think our microwave it turbo charged. It fried my oat bran, but I was too lazy to make another batch. More about that later.
